Year 6's Victorian Workshop

The children in Year 6 took part in a workshop where they learnt what it was like to be in a Victorian classroom. As the Victorian schooling began, the boys and girls had to sit separately, they all underwent a fingernail inspection and they all had to refer to the teacher as Ma'am whenever they were called upon (by their surname). They learnt some of the boring activities that Victorian children would have had to do and also some of the cruel punishments they had! Many of the children realised how much school has changed and how lucky they are to be going to school nowadays!
