GLC Gateway Primary Free School

The decision has been made to close the school at 1:00pm tomorrow, Wednesday 24 June 2026, due to the forecast extreme weather conditions. Any child who needs to remain in school after 1:00pm is welcome to do so until the end of the normal school day. If you would like your child to remain in school until 3:05pm, please complete the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/XnptuYpde5owEjaLA Children will have their school meal or packed lunch as normal. Please note that there will be no after-school clubs taking place tomorrow. All children remaining in school after 1:00pm should be collected at the normal collection time of 3:05pm. A decision regarding arrangements for Thursday will be made tomorrow and communicated to families. We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that there may be mixed feelings about it. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. As a reminder, children are welcome to wear red, white, blue, or their favourite football shirt to school tomorrow. Please also ensure that your child brings a water bottle so they can stay hydrated throughout the day. We would encourage parents to apply sun cream before school and ensure that children bring or wear a sun hat to help protect them from the sun. Thank you for your understanding and support.
